Pirates Continue to Strive for Excellence

Our Gore Pirates put up a fight this past friday night as they took on the 3A Heavener Wolves. Although our Pirates were unable to bring home a win last Friday, we are looking forward to bringing home another win tonight as the Pirates take the field against Central Sallisaw at home. In addition, we have two special events occurring this evening. First, our Pirates are honoring former football Coach Ben Baker and all of his accomplishments in starting the very first Gore Football team. A special recognition ceremony will be held prior to kick-off tonight in his honor. In addition, the Pirates are also bringing awareness to Cancer this week as we have a "Win-Win" night. Our Pirates will be representing their participation in this event by wearing all-black on the football field this evening.

So grab your Pirate gear and head out to the football stadium this evening to cheer on our Gore Pirates to another VICTORY!

Thank you again to Bighorse Photography for the pictures from last week's Gore vs. Heavener game.

The pirate stands were roaring this past friday night as the Gore Pirates destroyed the Mounds Eagles 25-0. Despite the many set backs, our Pirates came together and played with heart. After playing 3 complete quarters, the game was called due to thunderstorms. Our Gore Pirates have set off with a great start leaving a record of 2-0.

The Pirates will be playing at Heavener against the Heavener Wolves this coming Friday night at 7:30PM. So grab a ride and get ready to cheer on our pirates to another victory!

Pirates Defeat Panama: First Official Win of the Season!

This past friday night, despite the rain that Hurricane Isaac was throwing our way, our Gore Pirates defeated the Panama Razorbacks yet again! Although our Pirates had a rocky start, they came back during the second half to score 28 of our 35 points and left the stadium with our first official win of the season.
The final score was Panama 19- Gore 35!
Thank you to our friends, family, and community for making the drive to Panama, despite the rain, in order to cheer on our Pirates! Your support is greatly appreciated!

Be sure to mark your calendars for this coming Friday as our Gore Pirates will take on the Mounds Eagles at 7:30PM in our home stadium. Looking forward to seeing you all Friday night!
